Manchester, the Business Centre of Europe.

For the second year running the British Travel Awards have presented Manchester Airport with the trophy for 'UK Airport of the Year'. Knowing this together with the fact that the Airport has invested millions of pounds in developments that have included speeding up security processes in order to keep passengers moving is fantastic news for everyone who uses Manchester Airport for business travel.

Where in the World?

Getting to and through the airport used to take longer than the flight to many European destinations, but no more; from an office based in South Manchester, you could be doing business in one of these top 10 European cities by lunchtime:

  1. Paris; Only one hour 30 minutes in the air; giving you plenty of time for a business lunch that could easily take all afternoon!
  2. Lyon; a two hours flight prepares you for a four hour lunch in what some consider the gastro-capital of France.
  3. Amsterdam; Just a short one hour 25 minute flight means you could get two or three appointments in a day, but remember canal taxis are slow.
  4. Dublin; Only an hour's flight before you're in the convivial company of the Irish, beware of meetings over-running.
  5. Munich; Germans like to know what's going on, after your two hour flight, call ahead with your estimated arrival time.
  6. Brussels; Stay for dinner, most Belgians eat before 7pm, leaving plenty of time for the one hour 30 minute flight home.
  7. Geneva; In a country renowned for its timepieces, be punctual; your flight is 1 hour 50 minutes.
  8. Zurich; Use your 1 hour 55 minutes in the air to read up on World News; a favourite opening conversation in Switzerland.
  9. Milan; As the fashion capital of the World, make sure you make a good impression and have time to smarten up after your 2 hours 20 minute flight.
  10. Stockholm; It is considered very rude to be late in Sweden; it's easy to be punctual after your 2 hours 25 minute flight.

Besides great facilities and business services, a priority when choosing new office space for many businesses, that have suppliers, clients, customers or contacts in Europe, is the convenience of its location; an ideal choice would be;

  • Located just a couple of miles from a town centre and local bus and rail links.
  • Just a few minutes a motorway network for rapid road access.
  • Strategically located for a City centre and the national rail network.
  • A short drive from an International airport; providing easy access to businesses across the whole of the UK and Europe.
